Little Women demonstrates a coming of age story about four sisters who each have their own journey towards self-realization and completion, allowing the viewer to witness four tropes of womanhood in the 1860s: the domestic mother, the independent writer, the fading invalid and the self-obsession prima donna. Written and directed by Greta Gerwig, for anyone who has watched Lady Bird this version of Little Women embraces its source material with eager enthusiasm rather than timid reverence. This version of Little Women Greta really takes a turn of the plot keeping you on the edge of your seat, her casting for the characters is definitely recognizes their performances and its take on Sisterhood and Feminism.
